Tanya Ross has asked to audition for the role of Jervaise, the Spirit Godess of Fire, when the time comes. | Print |

Tanya grew up as a modern nomad, spending many years of her life moving between the United States and Germany, courtesy of Uncle Sam. Taking advantage of opportunities to travel and her natural gift for language, Tanya has ventured extensively throughout Europe, quickly picking up languages and dialects in the various countries during her stay. Her exposure to many cultures, combined with her lifelong love of learning, give her a solid foundation for creating and breathing life into believable characters.

Tanya's parents introduced her at a young age to ballet, opera, and theatre, and the performing arts which quickly became one of her early loves. Tanya has acted in stage productions for both school and church. Her final stage role was in a local production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’, where she stole the show as the Scarecrow.

After Tanya finally settled in Utah with her family, she decided not only to return to acting but also to make the leap from stage to screen. Tanya auditioned for and gained representation through Urban Talent Management in Salt Lake City, and was subsequently invited to study with the Professional Actor's Workshop based in Los Angeles. She jumped at the chance and continues to be an avid learner, constantly working to perfect her craft.

"It's so exciting to have the opportunity to get involved with – The Worlds of the Crystal Moon," Tanya says. "I love to read, but I have so many demands on my time that I have to be very picky about the books I choose to spend time reading. The Worlds of the Crystal Moon books are nearly impossible to put down. They just beg to be made into movies."

Tanya would love your feedback/suggestions. They would be greatly appreciated!
