Growing up in L.A., Alison Trouse decided at a very young age that she wanted to be an actress. She began acting on the stage at the age of 13 and performed in musical theater throughout her youth. Her first paying job of any kind was as a dancer in the Disney Main Street Electrical Parade at the age of 15, where she performed for many “seasons”. She continued acting in college where her favorite rolls were Shakespeare’s Juliet, and William Wycherley’s The County Wife. She was a dancer in “Footloose” (the original movie), and has also acted in industrial films and student films. Most recently she had one of the lead roles in the 48-Hour Film Project, and also landed the lead in a full-length independent film produced by Illumin8ed, titled Stand Strong. She is a versatile actress and her
Favorite roles are the ones that make her stretch and adapt.
If asked about Helga at this point, Alison would say: “Just starting to read the book, but from what I hear about her, I’m excited to take on the role of Helga. And although the rendition of her character looks sweet, I hope she’s a little bit fierce.
In dealing with the ups and downs of a career in acting, she relies on her favorite quote: "Everything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end."
