Charan Prabhakar would like to audition when the time is right for a role in the Worlds of the Crystal Moon feature films. What do you think? | Print |

Charan Prabhakar's story starts of when he was a wee boy coming on a flight from India to America to pursue the American Dream.  If he were flying from America to India, he would be pursuing the Indian dream.  But he's not.  He's an Indian coming from India to go to America to pursue the American dream.  Okay, seriously though, his name is Charan Prabhakar and he started acting full time in 2004. He's done plays and what not in high school, but his dedication to acting really took off in 04.  He remembers having a very profound week where he thought a lot about my life and where it was heading.  He thought about his future and knew that if he never attempted acting, he would regret it!  He immediately set thoughts into motion that have radically altered his life and have made him a much happier person.

So in 04, he met up with some friends and started working on short films.  They were aspiring directors that were very excited to work with any actor they could get.  He happened to be that guy!  After he did his film, he knew he was hooked.  He got an agent and signed up for acting classes.  They dramatically helped him out and he started auditioning and booking parts, which was awesome!  he met a lot of filmmakers and film festivals and just started networking like there was no tomorrow.  All of these experiences have helped him meet some amazing people!

By 08, he had acted in several short and feature films.  During 08 however, he hit some major breakthroughs.  He landed principle and leading roles in three different feature films.  After his last film, he moved out to LA to continue pursue acting in a much bigger pool!  He loves life, and has a tremendous passion for what he does!

I worked with him for one day on the CTU Provo set and saw him in the Minor Detail movie. I think he has a lot of talent.
